Girls Night Out Cinema Trip
TUESDAY 31st OCTOBER
It's a night out for the Indispensible Women of Bede House. It's also cheap Tuesday and the cinema is only £4 each. So we'll see what's on at the cinema at The Gate and have an evening together. It's for the girls only!
CathSoc Weekend to Wooler
FRIDAY 3rd - SUNDAY 5th NOVEMBER
It's a chilled weekend away to the beautiful Northumberland countryside. We rent a large house in the village of Wooler which has a log fire and a relaxed atmosphere to shake off the stress of Uni for a couple of days. There's a walk to go on too if you want and we have fireworks on the Satuday evening. First shout to paid up CathSoc members and any places left over to the rest of the community. Cost is £27 members and £30 all others and this includes travel, accomodation and food. You'll need to bring a sleeping bag for the weekend as it's bunk beds! Faith+Food: 'Exorcism & Deliverance'
THURSDAY 9th NOVEMBER 7.00pm
One of the Diocesan Exorcists is coming to the chaplaincy to give a bit of a talk and answer questions about the Ministry of Exorcism (yes, it's a real thing!). It should be a really ineresting evening and we share s hot veggie pasta meal together too (£1 donation). So put the date in your diary and maybe even bring a friend too!
SUNDAY 19th NOVEMBER 10.00am - 3.00pm
Exclusively for our Northumbria students we have a day out at BEDE'S WORLD in Jarrow. We'll meet at the Chaplaincy and travel together on the metro to this ancient monastery. Please bring a packed lunch and enough money for the metro ticket. The chaplaincy will treat you to tea and cake in the afternoon!
'Blue' Mass - for those with a loss
SUNDAY 19th NOVEMBER 6.30pm
You never know what the story is of the person sitting next to you. Thankfully, most of our students haven't yet expierenced bereavement - but some have and we want to acknowledge this. So this Masstailored to those who have suffered a loss so that their grief can be acknowledged. And it is good for out students who are, as yet, unaffected to be part of this communal time of remembering.
